Also visit RAJ GHAT – the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.

Within its spacious courtyard stands the Iron Pillar, which dates back to the 4th century AD and bears a Sanskrit inscription in the Gupta style. It is one of the UNESCO monument. Humayun’s Tomb which is one of the well preserved Mughal monument. This tomb built based on the Persian architecture and some Indian style architecture can also be seen here. Day 04 : AGRA – FATHEPUR SIKARI – JAIPUR

Option to revisit the Taj Mahal at dawn (the best time to visit depends on the time of year) Later depart Agra and drive to Jaipur the ‘Pink City’ and also the capital city of Rajasthan. Enroute Visit Fatehpur Sikri which is one of the best preserved Mughal sites in India with a series of ornate structures reflecting the glorious past of the empire which ruled much of northern India and modern day Pakistan from this region. The capital at Fatehpur didn’t last long as it was abandoned due to acute water shortages and as a result it looks pretty much as it must’ve done when it was in its pomp, around 430 years ago. Later continue your drive to Jaipur. On arrival at Jaipur, check in at the hotel and relax rest of the day. Overnight in Jaipur.

05

Day 05 : JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING

A full day around Jaipur beginning with a visit to AMBER FORT, otherwise referred as Amber Palace, Amer Fort. It was declared as one of the UNESCO world heritage sites. It is located in a small town known as Amer which is 11km away from the main city of Jaipur. Here you should not miss the Elephant Ride to reach the top of the palace. This journey on embellished elephants is bound to enrich your memories with the Royal lifestyle of the Maharajas and leave you with a truly unforgettable experience. Inside the Fort you have so many attractions to visit. One of the important attractions is the Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace), or Jai Mandir or "Water Temple" which is a room with all the four walls and ceiling completely embedded with glittering mirror pieces, which were specially imported from Belgium during that period. Then the City Palace Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in 1729-1732. It’s a beautiful palace and the architectural style of this palace followed the combination of Rajput and Mughal architectures. This was the former Royal residence, part of it is converted into an Art museum. A small portion known as Chandra Mahal is still used by the Royal family of Jaipur and this is not for the public to visit. Next visit Jantar Mantar which is otherwise known as Observatory. This site is designed to observe the astronomical positions with the naked eye. It houses a collections of Astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, Rajasthan in the early 18th century. Visit Hawa Mahal otherwise referred as Palace of Breeze or the Palace of winds, built in the year 1799. Since Purdah system was strictly followed in the beginning, Royal Ladies were not permitted to come out and also they have to hide themselves from the strangers and the general public. So through these windows they observe the regular happenings in the streets or any festivals or any processions. On the outside walls one can find 953 windows. Today all the visitors would like to have a brief photography stop at HAWA MAHAL. Overnight in Jaipur.
